Outside or inside: the spa showers of tomorrow – and what does that have to do with biophilia?

The shower is the favorite part of most of our day. Steam, a good smell and a little peace and quiet. Over the years and certainly after two years of a pandemic, this place has received many renovations, requests and the fulfillment of dreams in all my projects I have heard about.
These projects are usually designed with a biophilic nature in every millimeter of their project. Not only is a pleasant take very important, when it comes to villa architecture there are some really cool ways to introduce that are designed to bring out all the ways in which you will express the fun of the shower.

Three amazing spa shower projects
If you are on your way to planning a private home, you are already in a better place to start looking for how you can also upgrade your shower and what screams more of a privilege of planning a private home than a relaxing spa shower. The four spa rooms we'll talk about today use open-air materials and beautiful visual connections that ensure the relaxation you so desire they will bring to your home inside and out:

Spa Bungalow.
When we say luxury, we mean it in the most literal sense. You have no idea how many things that don't cost a penny at all end up in my office. This Brazilian project for a biophilic shower located on the foundations of the Mangbeiras Palace, brings to life the shape of a bungalow with a kind of perforated frontal barrier that takes care of keeping the outside with the inside.

Haines House.
From the studio of Formans Architects in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. This time, the home of the lead architect himself was the impressive shower that we'll talk about today. His goal when he thought of their shower room as a place that is an oasis in terms of privacy and freedom to do as you please, but without blocking the entry of light and oxygen into the home. In almost every first-time private home planning, one wants to make all dreams come true, but when talking about villa architecture, they usually talk about privacy as the most important element that needs to be achieved. They did this by splitting the third floor, which includes the master suite of the house, a shower and a roof deck with an outdoor shower, explained the architect and homeowner of the Haynes House. This also allows you a space for sunbathing and sun exposure, and of course shaded relaxation areas. Thanks to the unique split between the floors, an unforgettable experience is created in a way that frames the sky and the stars.

Urban spa.
Located in the Netherlands and also an upgrade by a leading architect at the design and planning company where the project was carried out. This involves adding an additional third floor to the building with a balcony that allows for observation of the street. The family did not want to give up the view and therefore decided on a bathroom on the floor in front of the balcony. This is a space designed to renovate the entire floor and recreate it as a luxurious walk-in shower. Despite the fact that it is not located on a floor that directly connects it to the outside space, he did make an effort to introduce some photosynthesis through vegetation in pots on the sides of the shower and on the ceiling.
