Modern rural architecture

The rustic style in architecture spans a wide spectrum, from minimal use of elements and materials that characterize the style, exposed wooden beams, Belgian profile windows, and wall coverings, to heavy use of the widows including the use of floral prints, walls covered with wooden panels, and many other elements that give a sense of heaviness to the house.

The modern rustic style is characterized by the controlled use of rustic elements so that a feeling of warm lightness is created, combined with space planning with a contemporary and modern perspective.

To explain in the most clear way what the modern rustic style is, we will divide it into elements, and focus on the most significant elements.

Wall coverings:

Choosing the material for exterior wall coverings is important and significant, because the exterior walls are the first thing a passerby will see and the choice of material will affect the first impression of the house, and what feeling the house will give from the outside without entering it.

In the country style, mineral plaster options are used, which usually have a natural texture,

Or in natural stone cladding, various types of gloss are usually used. (Dismantling stones)

In the modern country style, we like to combine the materials in a harmonious way, which gives a feeling of lightness.

Roofs:

The roof that characterizes rural architecture is a tiled roof, and the roof beams are usually exposed and remain the natural wood color.

In the modern country style, we mainly make tiled roofs, but not as a rule because the roof is influenced by the design of the house, and therefore there are houses in which we will combine tiled roofs with flat roofs. When we design flat roofs, we add a cornice to the roof railing that will add the rural character to the exterior of the house. The wooden beams are still exposed, but we choose to whitewash them, to get a lighter look.

Windows:

In the modern country style, we use windows with a Belgian profile. The use of a profile made of this natural material gives a warm character to the house, it includes internal divisions and sometimes interesting details that add to the character of the house.

Pergolas:

The use of pergolas is a common element in the country style.

In the modern country style, pergolas are used when we like to combine materials.

Concrete columns With/without brick cladding and a combination of wooden beams, columns and steel beams in a design that incorporates vegetation. Each pergola is designed in a harmonious way that complements and compliments the materials and design of the house.
