Brick cladding
One of the most prominent elements of the modern country style and the Tuscan style is the brick cladding.
Bricks are a clear sign of these styles and are one of the elements that add the most aesthetically. Bricks are integrated into a variety of functions and roles in all parts of the house and outside. Beyond their natural strength, bricks create a special atmosphere that is not expressed by other building materials. Bricks integrate well with other raw materials such as wood, concrete, iron, stone, etc., and their application allows the creation of clear accent marks, delimitation of different parts and special elements in the house.
Bricks can be divided into two groups:
Clay bricks.
Demolition bricks.
Clay bricks are bricks made to order.
Brick production begins with the extraction of raw clay from the ground, which is poured into molds in various formats that are sent to be baked at temperatures ranging from 950 to 1300 degrees Celsius, which gives the bricks their great strength. The clay is mined in different geographical areas, hence the variety of textures and colors.
The demolition bricks are bricks imported from Europe, and originate from the demolition of clay bricks from ancient buildings built in the 19th century. After the demolition, these bricks undergo a thorough cleaning. But at the same time, care is taken to preserve the cement and plaster that embrace the stone, in order to preserve the old-fashioned appearance.
Building with clay bricks provides many advantages such as strength and durability over centuries, the best thermal and acoustic insulation. An appearance that improves over the years that does not require any ongoing maintenance, many possibilities for architectural design and special elements as a material by the creator.
In all pictures, the bricks were provided by the company "brikim".
